We also provide an extensive Windows 7 tutorial section that covers a wide range of tips and tricks. Can any1 help me with this driver for windows 7 , or at least for vista x64 , i'm a little bit nubbish with the search on google i found only catalist but didn't found the driver.
Fail Version of Item: Win 7 Ultimate x Catalyst is the driver, a suite actually consisting of the driver and the catalyst Control Center CCC. That and that card has been relegated to legacy status by ATI and as such will only ever see a driver update every 3 months or so, and will never see a Windows 7 driver. The last official driver to support that card was the Catalyst 9. Short of whatever driver that Windows 7 installs for that card you are pretty much SOL.
You may find or can do it yourself a driver with a modded INF that will install on that card, but the driver won't work properly with it as there is no support in it. The supplied driver CD is telling me to "setup my display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup" whatever that means as my Acer XHQ monitor came with no driver and the acer site does not list a driver for it.
I also tried installing catalyst off AMD's site but it's made no difference. Win7 Build x Originally Posted by LeeUK. Windows 7 Ultimate Steve Ballmer Sig. I think it was 9. I am using a Sony DDLex as my monitor. I have the most up to date drivers from Ati. All I get from my tv above x is When it gets to the point to restart for first use, I get the BSoD and "The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop". The machine just keeps rebooting itself, getting the same message, then repeating over and over.

You need a new card, if you want to run W7 with proper graphics. ATI Radeon X300/X550/X1050 Series overview
I have the exact same question. I have an HP Compaq p that has been running Win 8. I spent an hour searching around the Internet, but no luck. Other than a NO and a screenshot that pertains to nothing to this post, I'll wait for some better explanation. I guess you don't understand English. I gave you the link to AMD's response to older cards trying to run Windows 10 , here Let me read it to you No your card will not work and there will be no magic "Update" that will allow it to perform beyond its capabilities. Return to XP where that card will perform as it's intended or buy a modern graphics card. You can whine all you want but it doesn't change the facts.

Buying hardware to get a computer with those specs could cost as much as buying a new computer that already has Windows 8 installed on it. Did this solve your problem? Sorry this didn't help. That said, a new system isn't in the forecast any time soon. When you said "Buying hardware to get a computer with those specs could cost as much as buying a new computer that already has Windows 8 installed on it Some how I don't think so, but maybe I'm wrong. If that's the case, I don't think you will get Windows 8 to run without upgrading the motherboard. At that point, you're talking motherboard, memory, and probably power supplly, which is new computer cost wise. I definitely have a PCI. If anyone out there can think of anything else I should check before moving ahead, speak up quickly! If so, where did you download the Driver from? Tell us about your experience with our site.
